Sand Casting Manufacturer in Mumbai - Up to 200 Kgs Capacity

Our sand casting facility in Mumbai (Goregaon) manufactures high-quality stainless steel, alloy steel, and carbon steel castings up to 200 Kgs single piece weight using the  CO2 (Sodium Silicate) moulding process.

Our Sand Casting Process (CO2 Process)We use high-grade silica sand moulds hardened through the CO2 process, which ensures:

  • Strong and rigid mould structure
  • Excellent dimensional accuracy
  • Good surface finish
  • Reduced shrinkage and defects
  • Reliable metallurgical consistency

This process is ideal for producing durable industrial castings with consistent quality.

Grinding & Fettling Facility for Sand Castings

At our foundry i, we maintain a dedicated in-house grinding and fettling facility to ensure every sand casting meets dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements before dispatch.

Our Capabilities Include:

  • Removal of gates, risers, and excess material
  • Surface grinding and finishing
  • Burr removal and edge smoothing
  • Cleaning of casting surfaces
  • Visual inspection after fettling
  • Preparation for machining (through our trusted machining vendors)

OUR CENTRIFUGAL CASTINGS

We specialize in high-quality centrifugal castings manufactured using precision centrifugal dies. Our facility is equipped with dies ranging from 123 mm Outer Diameter (OD) up to 338 mm OD, with lengths up to 660 mm.

Centrifugal casting ensures:

  • Dense, porosity-free structure
  • Uniform grain distribution
  • Excellent performance in pressure and wear applications

These castings are ideal for bushes, sleeves, pipes, liners, and cylindrical components used in industrial applications.

Finished Wear Rings

We specialize in manufacturing Finished Wear Rings in all Austenitic, Martensitic, and Duplex steel grades suitable for various types of pumps.

With a strong focus on metallurgical integrity, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish, our wear rings are produced to meet precise pump OEM specifications and performance requirements.

We work with experienced and well-developed machining contractors who enable us to deliver fully finished and ready-to-fit components with consistent accuracy and quality.

In-House Heat Treatment & Quality Assurance

All castings are supplied duly heat treated in our advanced in-house heat treatment facility equipped with:

  • Hardening Furnace [1200 °C Temp.]
  • Tempering Furnace [750 °C Temp.
  • Graph-based temperature monitoring & recording systems
  • Water Quenching Tank of 3000 Ltr. Capacity for Solution Annealing.
  • We also do have a BHN Hardness Testing Machine .

This guarantees:

  • Improved Machineability
  • Enhanced corrosion resistance
  • Grain structure refinement.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

At MGFPL, we maintain a robust Quality Management System integrated across all stages of manufacturing.

Our in-house testing facilities include:

  • PMI (Positive Material Identification) Machine – Fully calibrated for grade verification and metallurgical confirmation.
  • SpectroMAXx Spectrometer – For precise and reliable chemical composition analysis of all grades including Austenitic, Martensitic, Duplex and Heat Resistant steels.

For independent validation, samples are sent to NABL-accredited laboratories for full chemical and mechanical testing as per applicable ASTM standards.

Dimensional accuracy is ensured through:

  • Stage-wise inspection protocols
  • Precision measuring instruments (regularly calibrated)
  • Final dimensional verification prior to dispatch

This systematic approach ensures strict adherence to customer specifications, ASTM standards, and project quality requirements.
